Crazy World Funny People

Classical Music had always played an important role in my life. Still could not find the exact reason - may be its because I happen to stay closer to Krishna Gana Sabha or may be its because my near and dear ones had always guided (or rather forced) me to do so. Being a shy and modest chap, I was quite hesitant to get on stages and perform at the beginning. But things are not the same always. Ever since my college life began, I started or was rather motivated to start singing. My first music venture was in my second semester english class. The memories are still afresh. It was around 0900 hours on the 17th of January,2001 and my classmates were in no mood to listen to the english lecture after the 4-day long pongal leave. My professor had absolutely no option but to stop his lecture and do something else. It so happened that some fun-lovers in my batch suddenly started shouting "dp dp dp". There stood dp and began his mimicry - geof boycott, sachin, kamal, and a few others on demand. What an effort? It was superb. Next on the hit list was me. As soon as I heard my name, i turned pink and there was no way I could escape as there was still an hour of lecture left. Thats when I first sang in front of a decent crowd.
And since then I am performing now and then. Here is a small extract on the feedback received from one of my friends who happens to be a great critic after listening to our corporate music club's (Swaralaya) Thyagaraja Aradhana concert.Sorry pal if this had caused an IPR(Individual's Property Rights) violation.
"My eldest sister used to evade school every year on Thyagaraja Aradhana day. I was then in my primary class. Yesterday was Aradhana day. But I didn’t waste my earned leave. Why should I when the saint himself graced my office for the occasion?
Have you insured your fingers Mr.Mridangam? The Mridangist’s exposition of his skills was exemplary. Mridangam, as a ‘Pakka vadhyam’, is most effective when it gels well with the song that it accompanies. There is no point exhibiting your skills when it doesn’t enhance the effect of the song. Mr.Mridangam seems to have imbibed this well. Well done Mr.Mridangam! The ‘Pancharathna’ brought into light some new ‘Rathnas’ who’ve been dormant at our office for so long. The amount of talent in this campus inspires awe in me every time I witness something like this. The rendition of ‘Jagadaanandakaaraka’, which if I’m not wrong was composed of 108 names describing Lord Rama’s attributes, was superb. The solo performances deserve a special mention. Adi’s voice was fresh. ‘Ksheera saagara’ was full of expression. The lady singer was in her elements once again. ‘Sara Sara’ was a treat. And ‘Nagumo’ was special in more ways than one. Flute will not sound mellifluous always. When I read in Sparsh that Hariprasad Chaurasia will play in
